What is GSTIN?
Quick definition: A 15-character Goods and Services Tax Identification Number that every GST-registered institute must show on fee receipts and invoices.
GSTIN (Goods and Services Tax Identification Number) is the 15-character ID assigned to every GST-registered business in India. The format is: 2-digit state code + 10-character PAN + 1-digit entity number + 1 default + 1 check digit. Education institutes that cross the GST registration threshold (₹20 lakh annual revenue, lower in some states) must show their GSTIN on every fee receipt.
