What is Biometric Attendance?
Quick definition: Attendance marked automatically when a student or staff member taps their fingerprint, face, or RFID card on a device — eliminating manual rolls.
Biometric attendance uses a hardware device — typically fingerprint, facial recognition, or palm-vein scanner — to mark attendance the moment a person enters or exits a building. The device pushes punch logs to Coach Sutra over the internet (via BioCloud or similar APIs), where they're matched against student/staff biometric IDs and converted into attendance records automatically. Eliminates proxy attendance, reduces front-desk workload, and gives parents real-time SMS alerts when their child arrives at the institute.
